ToI: Halloween Howl - Selor
Selor walked through the streets of Infinium, the knowledge of the Venom King swirling about in mind. No. A piece of the power. A small, powerful, wonderful piece, capable of so much.
His two ‘bodyguards’ trailed behind him, ever on the lookout for danger, especially in this strange city. The place was absolutely bursting with creatures of all shapes and sizes, from draygoons and grun, to kit and wind pixies. In some ways, the mass of people would make it easy to abduct someone. In other, the crowds would make it hard to do the same. Selor didn’t mind, though. He was immortal, and even if he died he would still be alive.

Biscuit sat on the slope of a dune, staring out at the moonlit sands. His fury was spent, his energy sapped, and he couldn’t muster the strength to stand and pace as he wanted to do.
The task of re-sealing Kang was only a third completed. They had survived the first segment, but what if the Venom King’s whispers were truthful? That there was truly no benefit to what they did, that another would come to free him sooner or later?
Biscuit was a necromancer. A strong one, if everyone were to be believed. But could he actually destroy a spirit of such overpowering strength?

“You could have power like no one in this era ever imagined,” the voice whispered, a faint hiss in the back of Biscuit’s mind.
Ujina’s painstaking flamedancing was slowly reshaping the disconnected lines of the chamber's ritual circles into their intended form, but they had been at this for more hours than he could remember.
He was tired, though far from exhaustion. And now there was that voice.
“Do you want control over your enemies? I can give you that.” The whisper was so quiet, so insidious, at first he’d just thought it sleep deprivation. But it was persistent and insistent,

Kitt came to a sharp halt, gave one glance at the scary-looking ritual circle drawn on the floor, walls, and ceiling, and ran back to hide behind Ashary.
“I tell you, it’ll be the end of the world!” she screeched.
“Calm down,” Ashary said, glaring at her and shoving her firmly away. “It’s just an incredibly high level spell of binding. I think. I took an elective in Zinilian Magical History, but this is way above my level.”
Pollis snorted into his hand, and Ashary turned xer glare at him.
“And what have you to say, Pol?”
“Nothing, Ash, nothing at

The door was huge, the tunnel darker than midnight beneath a cloudy sky. Ujina held a quivering flame up to provide enough light to see by, but even that was unable to breach the shadows that lurked above. The vast hall echoed their footsteps, the slightest sound reverberating and repeating again and again.
The faint laughter, clanking, and sounds of scraping were most certainly not reassuring.
“Maybe we shouldn’t have done this,” Ujina whispered, but the red-furred lop ahead of her shook her head firmly.
“We are not going to abandon a stranger in need,” Cherry whispered ba

ToI: High Noon Hill Part 2
Selor didn’t feel small, though the aardullo and okagi on either side of him towered above his thin form. Selor wasn’t concerned by the heat, though it was considerable in the desert, and he didn’t pay any heed to the ache building in his feet and legs.
They’d been walking for days, searching in ever-tightening paths as he grew more confident in his aim.
The Venom King was waking. He was somewhere in this desert, and he would be in a desperate need of assistance.
The ancient texts generally agreed that Kang was ruthless and merciless. Deceitful and manipulative. But dishonorable was never listed among the Venom K
