Nyar left the party, still in full swing, to stop by a local toymaker shop that happened to be open in the middle of the night on a holiday. The owner, a blind biro woman with a crystal ball tucked under her arm, smiled at him knowingly.

Topper Toppington. Last seen in the upper stories of the sprawling manor, attempting to escape from a bright blue ligurrio with stars in his scales and no fashion sense.
Nyar studied the cards for this one closely. He’d drawn two cards, stuck together, when trying to divine the direction of the coming encounter. One card indicated failure, or perhaps a prison if interpreted differently. The other, however, showed fortune and wealth. Together, they made for an odd pair and their interpretation when taken together was beyond Nyar’s ability to guess.

Nyar had something of a sixth sense when it came to understanding the creatures he encountered. Croptop, however, proved to be an exception. It was hard to understand the desires and mental processes of an aggressive fruit bowl.
Nyar had never been one to give up easily. When something like this happened - not that he’d ever encountered this sort of thing before - he would just attack it from a different angle.

Nyar Tolle, kit fortuneteller extraordinaire, was extremely surprised to receive an invitation to an event hosted by and for the dead.
He had not foreseen such an event occurring, which made sense when you considered that his abilities were primarily in reading people and not truly in seeing the future, but he pondered the invitation page for many an hour before finally deciding to attend.
Bedecked in his crimson cape and jewelry, he arrived at the event fashionably early only to be stopped at the door by a particularly irritating butler PoMo who diverted him down a side corridor and instructed him to wait.
